Every time I open up a magazine or go to a health and
Wellness site I see a major focus on anti-Ageing. It seems to be the buzz word
to sell just about anything. While I know that the media and advertising use
our lack of self-esteem and our fears to manipulate the targeted demographic
into buying useless and mostly toxic products, the key words NATURAL and 100%
PURE are everywhere!
When looking at the listed ingredients on the products, I am
appalled to find the smallest percentages of Natural ingredients masked with
bulking agents and preservatives. This completely outweighs any benefits the
product should have delivered, if left in its natural form.
For me anti-ageing is all about your attitude, taking care
of your body and embracing the natural process. Our body regenerates every organ
over different periods of time. The skin has a full cycle of 35 days and can
completely change its appearance if you know how to support the body?s ability to
regenerate healthy cells. There are many ways to assist in this process, eating
fresh Organic food, drinking plenty of freshly harvested spring water if
possible ? not bottled water for many reasons which I won?t go into now, doing
any form of exercise to increase oxygen and blood flow to the surface of the
skin, while a relaxing massage does wonders for circulation and detoxification.
Nutrition is huge in combating the signs of ageing. Perfumes
have been exposed as toxic, while flower aromas hint at a gentler way forward. The
myth of OILS ARE BAD have been shattered, with the latest research indicating
our bodies thrive on Vegetal oils and Butter. Herbs have made a huge comeback with trends
moving swiftly towards the ways of old.
Living in accordance with nature and embracing our own
cycles allows us to step into a place of gracefulness.
When we feel beautiful,
we look beautiful.
